It all begins with being underwater.
The first breath before diving in. The hush of the world above, replaced by silence. The weightless suspension, where gravity loosens its grip and time slows. Water transforms everything—it bends light, distorts form, and changes our perception. It strips away the noise of the world, leaving only breath, movement, and reflection.
For me, swimming has always been more than exercise—it’s meditation in motion, a ritual of both strength and surrender. In my paintings, I seek to capture that moment of submersion, when the body and mind are fully present. The way sunlight dances across skin, the fragmented reflections on the surface, the blurred edges between reality and abstraction—all of it speaks to something deeper: transformation, renewal, and the universal longing for weightlessness.
My work is for those who understand the pull of water. The ones who seek peace in movement. Who know the quiet power of a deep breath, a long stroke, a moment suspended between worlds. Whether it evokes the memory of a childhood swim, the discipline of morning laps, or the freedom of floating effortlessly, each painting is an invitation to reconnect—with water, with self, with the serenity that lies beneath the surface.
